Project KIN is looking for new Host Home Families to provide safe, nurturing, stable homes for our clients. We are seeking families in Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex and Mercer Counties where: -there is a spare bedroom or bed in an appropriate bedroom -adult supervision is available -adults are willing to participate in training -the family is willing to comply with regulations issued by the State of NJ Office of Licensing -the family is willing to submit to a criminal history inquiry and Child Abuse Record information check
Desireable candidates demonstrate: - maturity and judgment to guide, direct and ensure the safety and well being of a client - ability to respect and understand children - sensitivity to children with problems and challenging behaviors - capability of meeting children's physical and emotional needs - ability to work cooperatively with IEP staff, professionls, consultants, parents and community - ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality regarding a child and his/her family - good character and reputation
Candidates must have: - at least a high school diploma - 1 year experience working with children (or additional training)
Our Clients are: - adolescents (ages 12 to 19) - referred by DYFS, YCM or CMO - appropriate for community and family based living - in need of loving, supportive, safe families to help them develop, learn and experience in a positive family environment
